That’s why Team Raintree is thrilled to collaborate with Pothmolita Dou, better known as Apple, Cambodia's first pioneering special effects makeup artist to work in the Hollywood film industry, to host a series of exceptional masterclasses. In these sessions, Apple will share her expertise, offering participants a unique insight into professional makeup and special effects. This is a great opportunity for budding Cambodian makeup artists to learn from a true industry professional.
About the Trainer
Apple is a self-taught makeup artist from Stung Treng province, Cambodia. She spent a decade working on film sets and creative projects in Cambodia before earning her diploma in Beauty & Special Effects Makeup from the Cinema Makeup School in Los Angeles. She was awarded the prestigious Ve Neill Makeup Artist Scholarship. Her tutors included prominent Hollywood makeup artists such as Ken Diaz, Leonard Engelman, Don Lanning, and Michael Spatola.
From movies to commercials, music videos to photoshoots, Apple's portfolio spans across Asia and the United States. Her notable contributions include the award-winning film "First They Killed My Father," "Hex," "Before the Fall," "The Forest Whispers," "Lisa and Liza," and the Oscar-nominated "Mosquito Lady."
