“Should I borrow money to pay for my wedding"?
”Is it safe to invest in property with a group of friends?”
"How do I prepare for financial curveballs—like losing my job, getting sick, or having kids?"
Money is one of the biggest sources of stress for young professionals today. Yet in Cambodia, as in many cultures, talking about money is still taboo.
At Raintree, we believe that open, honest conversations about personal finance can help us all make better decisions and build more secure futures. That’s why we're excited to invite you to a special edition of Conversations @ the Canopy, an intimate conversation that makes money talk feel less intimidating, and more empowering.
This workshop will cover real-life personal finance basics, tailored to the Cambodian context, including:
How to grow your income intentionally
How to build healthy saving habits and start investing (even with small amounts)
Research-based banking basics and practical, localised tools for personal financial management
You'll hear from Vanneth Kong, a certified financial advisor and entrepreneur, who will break down key financial principles and share practical tools to help you take action. The session will be moderated by Panha "Max" Theng, Co-Founder of 606 Digital and a passionate advocate for financial literacy education.
Expect casual, living-room style conversations over coffee, snacks, and real questions from real people—like you.
