Anti-Archive: Film Financing In Cambodia

Film meets finance @ The Canopy as award-winning Khmer director Kavich Neang brings investors and filmmakers together. Through the casual reception, Anti-Archive aspires to kick start the conversation using the movie as a case study, showcasing the current dependence on seeking principal funding from overseas. To address how to develop more private sector investment in the local film industry and how to support other independent filmmakers and film productions, the crew will share the basics of film financing and investment, and we will share different perspectives on film funding, whether through a business lens attentive to ROI, or through a more philanthropic sense of social responsibility. This is a chance to get to know one another from across diverse industries and fields and start conversations with future collaborations in mind.
